Hey, I’m Claudia
Hey, I’m Claudia
I grew up on the quiet side of Cultus Lake during the early 80's and I have spent most of my life in and around Chilliwack, BC, with a few adventurous years living in Switzerland. I’m an extroverted introvert who thrives under pressure, and no matter what happens during a session I stay calm, flexible, and ready to capture it all.
Photography has been a lifelong love. As a kid, I spent hours cutting up National Geographic magazines, organizing the images I loved, and dreaming about capturing the world myself. That fascination grew into a career photographing everything from weddings and families to newborns and concerts. Music has been a huge part of my life, shaping who I am and how I see the world. Growing up, I spent countless hours in cold garages and attics with my high school friends, listening to them play in their bands. My love for punk rock and alternative music eventually led me to concert photography, where I learned to capture the essence of an entire show in ten minutes or less, because you only ever get to photography the first three songs. That thrill, that raw energy, taught me to see and capture moments that are fleeting but unforgettable. I love freezing the small and big moments that make life meaningful. Whether it’s a family laughing together, a couple saying “I do,” or a child discovering something new, these are the moments I want to preserve for you.
Outside photography, I love exploring the mountains in all the seasons,, camping, paddle boarding with my animals, loud music in small spaces, coffee, snow days, beach days, and the smell of sunscreen mixed with children’s laughter. Real life photos with real life editing.
Like my life, my photography cannot be boxed into one genre. I love concert photography as much as capturing a couple committing their lives to each other, and I equally cherish the raw, real moments of a family welcoming their first baby or living their everyday lives. Across every session, every genre, one thing ties it all together: my passion for authenticity. Life happens in beautiful, messy, chaotic moments. These are your stories, and they are precious. I want to be there to capture them. Because it matters. All of it.
So if you’re out there trying to find your voice, here’s my advice: peak your truth. Be real. Be authentic. Be transparent. Be you. Because I’m going to be me.
I cannot wait to meet you and your family. If you have any questions, let’s chat!
