highlights you for who you are!

Prom is a special event that marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. It's a time to celebrate achievements, friendships, and memories made throughout high school. One way to make your prom experience even more memorable is by incorporating your high school sport or passion into your prom session. This not only adds a personal touch to your photos but also celebrates a significant part of your high school journey.

Why Include Your High School Sport/Passion?

Your high school sport or passion is more than just an extracurricular activity. It's a representation of your hard work, dedication, and the friendships you've built along the way. Including it in your prom session allows you to showcase this important aspect of your life and adds depth to your prom photos.

Ideas for Incorporating Your High School Sports, Hobbies and Passions into your Prom Session:

  1. Sports: Wear your team's jersey or uniform for a few photos to represent your involvement in sports.

  2. Props: Bring along props related to your passion, such as musical instruments, art supplies, sports equipment, etc.

  3. Action Shots: Capture action shots of you participating in your sport or passion, such as playing an instrument after a hike to a waterfall, practicing a dance routine, jumping on a wake board in your cap and gown, you name it I am up for it!

  4. Location: Choose a location for your prom session that reflects your sport or passion, such as a swimming pool, sports field, art studio, music room, really anything goes to make your session uniquely you.

  5. Group Photos: If your teammates or friends share your passion, consider including them in your prom session for group photos.

Incorporating your high school sport or passion into your prom session is a wonderful way to celebrate your achievements and showcase a significant part of your high school journey. Whether you're a star athlete, a talented musician, or passionate about any other activity, adding this personal touch to your prom photos will make them truly unforgettable and not only captures you in that fancy outfit for prom but also captures what makes you uniquely you!

As always, your family is welcome to join for a portion of the prom session at no extra cost! Wouldn’t it be amazing to have those family photos from years ago updated!

Fraser Valley graduates

it’s prom season!

So many inquiries lately asking about Prom sessions so I figured I would answer some of your most asked questions in a quick blog post. If you are wanting to book now is the time!

When is the best time to book my Prom/Graduation Session?

As soon as you know you want Prom photos you should book! My May/June schedule fills up very quickly and I typically only book one graduate per prom date due to timing and logistics, unless of course you are booking as a group then I can of course accommodate more graduates at one time. Another option is to book your Prom session on a separate date from your actual prom date, this allows for us to spend more time together and pick a date that works for you and your families schedule.

Who can I bring to my prom session?

Your prom session is for you and your plus one, whether that be your date or your bestie, and of course your immediate family members, such as your parents/caregivers/guardian, siblings and grandparents. I will spend the first part of your session capturing you with your family and those that love you, and the remainder of your session will be used capturing you and your plus one.

When do i get to see my photos?

I know how important it is to have your Prom/Graduation Photos as soon as possible to be able to share with your friends and family so I always post a few photos within a few hours of our session, sometimes it is later that evening, but always withing 24 hours of your session. The remainder of your photos will be ready for you within one week of your Prom/ Graduation session.

What time of day is best for photos?

Golden Hour, an hour before sunset, is typically the best time of day for photos. That being said, as long as we have a bit of shade to work with, we can do photos any time of the day, and there is something to be said about that mid day sunshine and the beauty it brings out!

PROM SEASON... one of my favourite times of the year.  In Abbotsford, BC Willband Creek Park is one of my favorite locations for prom photos and to celebrate with families this huge milestone. There is just something about Prom that makes me all giddy inside and I wish I could photograph all the seniors graduating but that is just not feasible!  Sydney's mom booked me at the beginning of her grade twelve year to make sure that this moment was captured not only for Sydney, but for them as a family.  We spent some time together right before she was off to prom, and it was pefection.  Congratulations Sydney, I wish you nothing but the best for your future.
